supporting families through One Table
I’m Nicholas Ancelin, organizer of One Table—a growing effort to support families in The Gambia and Nigeria.
Meet Ahmad, Tijan, and Gabriel in The Gambia.
AHMAD’S POULTRY PROJECT
Ahmad Drammeh, 19, hopes to start a poultry farm in Pirang Village and support his mother. His estimated startup need is $1,500 USD for chickens, housing, feed, equipment, animal care, and training.
TIJAN’S EDUCATION & FAMILY
Tijan Bah, 20, lives in Brikama with his two younger brothers. His estimated immediate need is $700–$800 USD for school fees, books, learning materials, and everyday family needs. He hopes to continue his education and become a doctor.
GABRIEL’S WORK & FAMILY GOALS
Gabriel Sanyang, 21, lives in Mandinaba Village with his mother and five younger siblings. He attends school, has experience in construction and painting, and hopes to find steady work and open a small clothing shop. His preliminary estimate starts at $5,000 USD for land for a future family home and a business; the detailed budget is still being clarified. Training, mentorship, and work opportunities would also help.

HOW SUPPORT WORKS
I receive support as the organizer and plan to send funds to Ahmad, Tijan, and Gabriel through Remitly. Availability and provider requirements for this fundraising arrangement must be confirmed before transfers. Transfer fees and exchange rates may affect the amount received. These budgets are initial estimates. The families’ private payment details will not be published. If you would like to support a particular family, please name Ahmad, Tijan, or Gabriel in your message. Ways to give through Venmo and PayPal are listed on the One Table website.
