Hi, My Name Is...

Feb 06, 2026

Hi, I'm Stephen! Years ago, when I was a teenager, I wrote a pretty popular blog and averages around about one thousand individual readers a week. Then, I woke up one day and simply deleted it. Looking back, it was pretty cringe. I can't remember every detail, but I definitely remember running a little feature along the lines of 'Man of the Week.' Each week, my followers would nominate a famous 'hunk,' usually shirtless, and he would be displayed right at the top of the sidebar.

The blog posts must have been pretty atrocious and mundane, as they were mostly comedic ramblings about my day, speculation on what might happen to the world, and pop music reviews. Occasionally, online friends would take over for a week to mix things up. It was all very emo.

I then started another blog in my twenties, this one focusing on a fictional character which took place over an entire year. At the time I was very into Bridget Jones, and he was, essentially, the gay male equivalent. Again, this blog eventually became pretty popular, reaching anywhere up to five thousand readers a week across multiple, daily posts. Keeping this up became a nightmare, and despite much forward planning over time the story became rather chaotic and hard to keep track off, and finally derailed just after the Christmas posts.

At the time, this blog was so successful that I fully planned to keep it going, but a combination of exhaustion and writers block all came together and I very nearly killed the character off. Thankfully, I didn't, and the entire blog is still lingering out there on the internet. Maybe he'll make a triumphant return in his late thirties.

Anywho, I've been pretty creative my most of my life, although that creativity has come and gone in waves throughout my twenties and into my thirties. Working full time (six days a week) and trying to write everyday is a challenge. I self published my first novel, Someone Wild, back in 2024. I fully intended to release the sequel last year, but life got in the way and I've been playing catchup ever since.

So, naturally, being me I thought I would also give blogging another go. Hopefully, this little corner of the internet will become home to those projects that don't really belong anywhere else. Expect to find doodles, ramblings and rants, a scattering of poetry and anything else I can't find a home for.

Anywho, that's me done for now.

Stephen :)
