My posting workflow

My posting workflow

Oct 06, 2024

So this is a screenshot from a post I did on Weasyl. This is one of my favorite if not the golden example of how I post things, and the order I do it in. Many don't know that I actually cross-post everything manually without the use of a tool like PostyBirb!

I always start with Ko-Fi, as that's definitely the number one place to be anyways to grab the file for your commission. Makes sense. After that I immediately hop over to Mastodon and post there, with the Ko-Fi link as a bonus so you always end up back at Ko-Fi no matter what. Pretty cool!

Then I jump to Bluesky, make a post there with the Ko-Fi link. Business as usual.

Now I have the main stuff out of the way. Ko-Fi, Mastodon, and Bluesky. That's 3 platforms. What's next?

I save Weasyl for last as thankfully it supports markdown so I can cleanly insert links without it looking ugly or messy (that's why I'm using the example image here too.) So instead I take a small detour. Choosing to experiment with the platform SoFurryBeta, I make a post there with the primary Ko-Fi and Mastodon links. Sometimes Bluesky. However now I take the SoFurryBeta link and make a post on Pixelfed instead! Which more or less completes my posting cycle. Now I can loop back to Weasyl and add in all the missing links.

BuyMeACoffee and Toyhouse are left out as they are more situational and not exactly mandatory. Telegram isn't mentioned as that's technically the final stop on this posting train, which is lielly where you (the client) retrieves your commission or the notification of your finished piece.
