The Leet Adventure

Jul 09, 2021

This is a game I am currently creating myself using Smile Game Builder. I chose this engine to make a game in so I could move away from the widely known (and used) RPG Maker series. This engine has it's limits and it's fun trying to see where I can push it whilst I try to create my own game that will hopefully be released on PC / STEAM / SWITCH once it is complete.

Getting to the completed stage will no doubt take some time as even though I can create basic stuff in 3D myself (using Blender) there's some stuff I just can't do so it all comes out of my own pocket and unfortunately.. being ill and also out of work puts this project on an extremely tight budget :( which sucks because i'd love to be able to have many pro  custom models, graphics, animations and such in it.

My aim with this game is to get at least an acceptable working Demo out by the end of this year or start of next year depending on how the funds goes with 3D custom models and stuff because that's what's holding me back the most.. the ability to get new custom assets for TLA.

I am aiming to get the game around the 20/25 hours mark worth of gameplay with a wide variety of things in it for players to experience and get to grips with, such as cooking, crafting, exploration, achievements, tons of hidden secrets, mini-games, and such. I am also looking at having around 8/10 playable characters that each will have unique skills to them only that will see each one not just fall into the background, they WILL be needed for certain things and each have their own backstory side-quest to fulfil.

I am taking inspiration from old Jrpg games of the past, such as Super Nintendo and PS1(psx) era Jrpgs, with major inspiration coming from games such as Final Fantasy, Wild Arms, Chrono Trigger, and many other classics.

Any hows, I hope you enjoy taking a look at some of the pictures of my game so far and I will post newer pictures here also as I produce more things in TLA. You can also pay a visit to my YouTube channel and take a look at some of my WIP (work in progress) videos for The Leet Adventure there.. here's the link to that section.. ENJOY!!
