Hi! I’m Christina, and I’m an ER nurse, EMT, adult competitive figure skater, and aspiring skating coach. I started skating at 9 years old and stopped when I was in college to pursue a career in EMS and nursing. After nearly a decade away from the ice, I returned to pursue the dream I never stopped believing in. Through Scrubs n Skates, I share my training, competitions, and the journey of balancing nursing with competitive figure skating. Unlike elite athletes, adult competitive figure skaters typically fund their own training, coaching, travel, and competition expenses. A typical one hour skating lesson costs me $130, but there is absolutely no expectation to fund an entire lesson! Any amount helps offset the cost of coaching, training, and pursuing this journey. For the 2026–27 season, my goals include competing at Adult Nationals as well as two international competitions in Canada and Germany, representing my skating club and the U.S. adult skating community.
