Hi Carol! Thanks so much for the coffees. We really appreciate it so much 🥹. We hope you have the best time in Costa Maya! To get to the golf cart place you’ll need to make your left on the first street after the port. Walk all the way down and you’ll find a man with several golf carts on the left hand side. As far as beach resorts go, we’d recommend going all the way to the end of the beach! (It’ll be just a few minutes with the golf cart). These are much less crowded and have better food 😊
If we go by taxi, how much should it cost, and how long is the trip? Any names of good beach club? Seems like there are a bunch...
The taxis are all a per person rate, and are the same for the beach area. It’s $4/person or $3 for the tram (the tram leaves you at the beach area and you can just walk - it’s not that far). 40 Cañones was good but things may have changed! If you want a more lively vibe you can go to one of the ones near the tram stop but if you want something quieter with better food we’d recommend walking about 5-10 minutes south. Many beach clubs are very similar so you won’t find a massive difference, but we definitely recommend eating at el izote and then getting drinks at the beach club since the food at the beach clubs are overpriced and more commercialized.
