I thought I would have some fun and have "walkie-talkie" in the video title and thumbnail. Just to see if anyone "corrects" me in the comments regarding proper terminology. Should be fun!
Anyways, I a ease my way out of YouTube hiatus I found this one still in editing.... Better late than never I guess.
All in the rating
One of the key factors I look into when purchasing a hand held is it IP rating. Higher the better for me.
Then give me a beefy belt clip that attaches directly to the radio and not the battery. Speaking of battery, one that can be charged while not attached to the radio is a plus in my book.
One drawback of a radio with a IP67 or similar rating is all the gaskets and sealing added to keep the dust and water out does slow down access to some ports.
But that's the compromise one makes for something a bit more rugged.
