Resouces for Emotional Healing for People Who Have Been Scammed
I provide free videos and a website with resources for people who have been scammed. Many people feel stupid (they're not) and feel a lot of shame when this happens. They need help figuring out how to deal with the emotional impact of this crime, and ultimately find healing from the shame, grief, depression, trauma, anger and so much more. These resources help!
I am also heavily involved with advocacy and building awareness so we can prevent as much scamming in the future as possible. I have created a non-profit and I'm organizing an event for professionals in industries such as finance, tech, advocacy and mental health to come together to strengthen support for survivors/victims.
My non-profit is Psychology of Fraud: https://www.fraudpsychology.org
The event is United Against Deception Ultimate Fraud Symposium: https://whova.com/web/imBvdTEI0RuCqlZOlWSBrIquF80e1wF8N7XspQ4XKPc%3D/
My website and YouTube channel are linked below.
If you know a mental health professional who wants to become proficient in supporting scam victims, please let them know about the following online video course I created for them. They can be certified in supporting victims and get continuing education credit through NBCC for attending. (ACEP #7702).
Mental health provider course and certification: https://lifepaths-school-7a8b.thinkific.com/bundles/pfvc (ask them to contact me for a discount!)
Another alternative way to support my work is to purchase my book, "The Emotional Impact of Being Scammed and How to Recover."
Would a support group help you? The group at this non-profit is the absolute best: https://www.fightcybercrime.org
I want to do more! I speak with a lot of victims personally, and have had one support group I facilitate and would like to be able to facilitate more of them; plus I want to create a directory of mental health providers who are knowledgeable in this area.
If you decide to help with a contribution through this site, or by purchasing any of the products above, it is deeply appreciated!
