Love Your Problem, Not The Solution

Seasonal Greetings to My Readers

After a long time, I am here to share my perspective and a statement with you. I hope it will inspire and help you, even if it changes the life or mindset of just one person. That to me would be a victory.

We as humans (myself included), often focused on finding solutions. But let me tell you something?

“Love Your Problem, Not the Solution.”

Do you agree with this? Sounds strange, right? But think about it my readers.
Problems always have an end, but not all endings lead to a solution.

When we only love and focus on solutions, we limit ourselves to a singular point of view. However, if we start loving our problems, we can uncover a variety of solutions and perspectives.

Let me share an example from my own journey as an entrepreneur. When I started 2SF Labs, the first coworking space in Point Pedro, I faced countless challenges and the challenges seemed insurmountable. There were times when I was so focused on finding solutions that I overlooked the core of the problems themselves. From finding a suitable location to setting up infrastructure with minimal resources, it felt overwhelming at times. Initially, I focused solely on solving the immediate issues, how to secure furniture, how to market the space, and how to attract the first few coworkers. But this approach often left me feeling stuck when one solution didn’t work as planned.

Then, I shifted my mindset. Instead of fixating on the solutions, I embraced the problems. I began asking myself “Why is this happening? What can I learn from this?” When furniture was unavailable, it pushed me to explore creative partnerships. I reached out to local businesses and explained my vision for 2SF Labs. To my surprise, a local entrepreneur offered to lend unused furniture. This not only solved the immediate need but also built a valuable connection for future collaborations.

Another example comes from our community workshops. Initially, I worried about whether people would show up. The fear of an empty room consumed me. But when I started to “love” the problem, the challenge of building trust and awareness. I saw it as an opportunity. I began personally connecting with potential participants, sharing my story and vision. Over time, our workshops grew organically & today, they’re one of the most impactful parts of 2SF Labs.

When we focus solely on solutions, we risk missing the deeper lessons that problems can teach us. Loving your problems means staying curious, patient, and open to the unexpected. It’s about seeing obstacles not as barriers but as stepping stones to growth.

Loving your problem doesn’t mean you dwell on it or let it consume you. It means you approach it with curiosity, patience, & openness. Whether it’s building a team, solving a business challenge or addressing personal hurdles, embracing the problem allows you to discover new perspectives and creative solutions that you might have never considered.

So, the next time you face a challenge, try this
pause, reflect, and ask yourself
how can I love this problem? You might just find that what seems like an obstacle today can lead to extraordinary outcomes tomorrow.

Remember, a problem’s true value lies not in its resolution but in the journey it takes you on.

Stay inspired, and thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
