Artist & Entrepreneur creating XR Experiences for Health & Wellbeing
I'm Sarah Ticho, a card-carrying neurodivergent artist, entrepreneur, and change-maker merging health, wellbeing, and storytelling through immersive storytelling. I create experiences that deepen self-awareness and compassion.
One of my proudest projects is "Soul Paint," an XR experience narrated by Rosario Dawson, acclaimed for its ability to explore the human experience while encouraging creative play. Soul Paint was the winner of the XR Jury Award at SXSW 2024, and following this success are expanding its reach into education, healthcare, and cultural institutions.
I am decided to advancing immersive tech in healthcare, particularly how we can bring together artists and designers with people with lived experience and care providers. My research, like "The Growing Value of XR in Healthcare in the United Kingdom," secured a £20m investment through the UKRI Mindset program. As co-director of the XR Health Alliance, I continue to explore ways to reach equitable distribution of XR for health and wellbeing.
In 2022, I received the International Virtual Reality Healthcare Association's Hero Award for leadership, notably my work supporting victims of the Nashville tornado in 2021. In my spare time, I'm training as an End of Life Doula, providing support to people during their last moments.
I support artists, patients, and wellbeing initiatives. Your support enables me to continue to support others and create change, as well and developing my own projects.
Please consider making a contribution, your support will enable me to continue bridging tech and storytelling for social impact.
