Sahi Reportedly in Talks to Raise $80 Million, as India's Wealthtech Sector Crosses $300 Million in 2026

Bengaluru-based trading and wealthtech platform Sahi, led by co-founder Dale Vaz, is reportedly in discussions to raise a larger round of around $80 million, according to Entrackr's latest wealthtech funding report, a move that would significantly outsize every wealthtech deal India has seen so far this year.

Here's the context that makes this number stand out. Indian wealthtech startups have raised approximately $303 million across 25 deals in the first eight months of 2026, but funding activity has largely been guided by smaller rounds, with only four transactions crossing the $30 million threshold all year, Veriqus Group, Neo, Sahi itself, and Gurugram-based Centricity. Notably, not a single deal during this period has exceeded $50 million, which is exactly why Sahi's reported $80 million target would be a genuine step-change for the sector.

Sahi's own trajectory has been fast. The company raised $10.5 million in a Series A round co-led by Accel and Elevation Capital, before following up with a $33 million Series B just months later, again led by Accel with Elevation Capital participating, at a valuation north of $200 million. Founded in 2023 by Manish Jain and Dale Vaz, Sahi built its name as a high-performance trading platform for individual traders, claiming to serve more than 13 crore traders, with over 86% of that user base coming in FY26 alone. The Series B capital was earmarked specifically to expand into the broader wealthtech segment beyond pure trading infrastructure.

The bigger sector story adds real weight here. Capital raised by Indian wealthtech startups has jumped more than 3.4X compared to previous years, and together, five companies, Veriqus Group, Neo, Sahi, Centricity and Stable Money, account for more than 56% of all wealthtech funding raised in 2026. This mirrors a broader pattern across fintech, where platforms serving India's fast-growing affluent and investing class are commanding outsized investor attention and correspondingly larger checks.

A reality check worth flagging: this is a reported round still in discussion, not a closed deal, valuations and final terms can shift considerably between "in talks" and a signed term sheet.

From a $10.5 million Series A to a potential $80 million mega-round in under two years, Sahi's rise captures exactly how fast India's wealthtech story is compounding in 2026.
