Moneyview Shares Debut at a 64% Premium After Its IPO Gets Subscribed Nearly 102 Times

Digital lending platform Moneyview made a stellar stock market debut on October 1, 2026, with its shares opening at Rs 55.61 on the BSE, a premium of 63.56% over the Rs 34 issue price, and at Rs 55 on the NSE, a 61.76% premium. The stock didn’t stop there either, rallying another 11.5% to touch Rs 62 within the first hour of trading, pushing total gains as high as 82% over the IPO price.

imageHere’s how the IPO itself played out. Moneyview’s Rs 1,092 crore offering was subscribed nearly 102 times on the final day of bidding, with qualified institutional buyers leading the charge at 230.54 times their quota, the non-institutional investor portion following at 115.41 times, and the retail portion coming in at a still-strong 19.57 times. The company had fixed its price band at Rs 32-34 per share, valuing it at nearly Rs 6,000 crore at the upper end, and the IPO combined a Rs 750 crore fresh issue with an offer-for-sale of 10.05 crore shares worth approximately Rs 342 crore.

The fundamentals behind the listing are genuinely solid. Bengaluru-based Moneyview, incorporated in 2014, provides digital financial services through its mobile platform, and its income jumped 43% in FY26 to Rs 3,404 crore, even though profit growth stayed comparatively flat. The company has earmarked part of its fresh IPO proceeds strategically, around Rs 325 crore for loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements, and Rs 250 crore to strengthen the capital base of WFPL, its material subsidiary.

The reality check worth noting: a blockbuster debut reflects strong listing-day demand, not necessarily where the stock settles once the initial euphoria fades, grey market premium ahead of listing had actually suggested a more modest 41-43% pop, making the actual 64% debut an even bigger upside surprise for allotted investors.

With retail investors pocketing roughly Rs 9,530 profit on a single allotted lot, Moneyview’s listing adds fresh momentum to what’s already been a strong year for Indian fintech IPOs.
