D2C Fashion Startup UniqYou Raises Rs 15.8 Crore Seed Round at a Rs 64 Crore Valuation

Bengaluru-based D2C fashion startup UniqYou has raised Rs 15.8 crore in a seed funding round led by Arkam Ventures and Antler, with participation from a group of angel investors, valuing the company at approximately Rs 64 crore post-money.

imageHere's how the round is structured. UniqYou's board approved issuing 37,487 compulsorily convertible preference shares at Rs 4,215 each. Arkam Ventures put in the largest chunk at Rs 9.3 crore, followed by Antler at Rs 4.96 crore, and angel investor Ankit Garg contributed Rs 1 crore. Other participating angels bring real industry credibility, Tracxn co-founder Abhishek Goyal, Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Myntra co-founder Raveen Sastry, and former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha all backed the round. Following the allotment, Arkam Ventures holds a 14.93% stake, while Antler owns 7.96%.

Here's what makes this raise notable. UniqYou was earlier reported to be in discussions to raise around Rs 12 crore, roughly $1.3 million, so the final round came in meaningfully larger than initially targeted, a signal of stronger-than-expected investor appetite once due diligence was underway.

The company itself is still quite young. Founded in 2026, UniqYou is building a technology-led platform focused on women's fashion, using AI to identify emerging fashion trends and curate relevant products for consumers, essentially trying to spot what's about to become popular before it peaks. The fresh capital will go toward working capital needs and general corporate purposes as the startup builds out its platform and customer base.

The bigger picture adds useful context. This round lands amid continued investor interest in India's fashion and apparel startup ecosystem, with MyDesignation raising Rs 40 crore in a Series A round, Alaya by Stage3 securing seed funding for its ethnic-wear and AI ambitions, and fashion brand Theater raising Rs 75 crore in a Series A led by Niveshaay, all within the same broader window.

From a seed-stage idea to real institutional backing from Arkam Ventures and Antler, UniqYou's round is a bet that AI-driven trend-spotting can carve out real differentiation in India's increasingly crowded women's fashion market.
