AI Edtech Startup Arivihan Raises $10 Million in Series A Led by Accel and Prosus, Valuation Jumps 3.3X

Indore-based AI edtech startup Arivihan has raised $10 million, around Rs 96 crore, in a Series A round co-led by existing investors Accel and Prosus, with an additional $200,000 coming in from its existing GSF angel investors. This marks the company's second fundraise in just 15 months, taking its total capital raised to more than $15 million.

imageHere's how the valuation jumped. According to regulatory filings, Arivihan's valuation surged nearly 3.3X to around Rs 570 crore in this Series A round, up from roughly Rs 171 crore in its previous pre-Series A round. Accel and Prosus each invested about Rs 47.48 crore, and after the latest allotment, Accel India holds a 23.54% stake while Prosus holds 18.57%.

The founder story and customer base here matter a lot. Founded in 2022 by Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar and Rushabh Kothari, Arivihan built an AI-powered automated learning platform relying on interactive video lectures and instant doubt-solving algorithms, and notably, around 80% of its subscribers come from tier-3 cities and rural India, a segment most edtech players have struggled to serve profitably.

The fresh capital has a clear roadmap. Arivihan plans to enter new states while strengthening its existing operations in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar, expand its coverage of the CBSE curriculum, invest further in AI research and vernacular language capabilities, and scale up performance marketing and on-ground distribution networks.

The track record adds real credibility. Arivihan was previously part of Accel's Atoms accelerator programme, receiving its seed funding through that programme back in March 2024, before raising $4.17 million in a pre-Series A round in July 2025, again led by Prosus and Accel. Its revenue reportedly jumped 14.8X in FY25, though FY26 financials haven't been filed yet.

The bigger picture is worth noting too. This raise comes even as the broader edtech sector undergoes a shift toward operational efficiency and profitability, with investors becoming more selective, Arivihan's ability to pull in repeat backing from marquee investors suggests real conviction in AI-first, tier-2 and tier-3-focused education models.

From Indore to India's smaller cities and rural classrooms, Arivihan's Series A is a bet that AI tutoring can finally crack the cost-accessibility gap that has long defined Indian education.
