To love unconditionally, you need to crack your heart open and let go of your ego.

To love unconditionally means to be brave so you can cross the threshold that takes you from the safety of the shore and into a sea of total rapture — a place that forces you to drop your defences and put your guard down.

Unconditional love goes beyond the limitations of the mind. It cannot be accomplished through it because it goes against its safety mechanisms.

Unconditional love, true love, can only be felt. It defies science, reason and common sense.

It is the bravest thing, the wildest experience.

The mind runs on a system of action and reward; it wants to obtain something for its effort.

Spirit, on the other hand, knows that the reward is the love it experiences. It knows it has won if it can experience it.

Because the mind cannot love unconditionally, it doesn’t understand how it is possible to love in such a way.

Unconditional love is the experience you have been looking for, and yet, you will be unprepared for it when it comes. It is the type of experience you read in books, thinking it is just a fantasy. It is not.

Whoever claims to hate love stories lies to himself or herself because love is everybody’s essence.

Everybody loves a good love story, but we seldom find one in which the heroes did not experience trouble finding their true love. Still, our brain has selective memory and fails to remember those details.

Everybody wants to meet Prince Charming (or Princess), but only some are brave enough to arrange such a meeting.

Those who dream of fairytales are quick to volunteer to kill a demon or slay a dragon. Bring it on! They say. Life would be more interesting if it were more like in the books and less like real life!

Fools!

They ask for a true dragon when they cannot defeat the mental dragons they face daily.

Demons, dragons, vampires, and monsters already live inside our heads.

In the books, the girl gets the guy, and the guy gets the girl only until they have slayed their dragons and killed their demons — the physical ones, too. Not many of us are willing to do that in real life.

How many of us are willing to let go of the ego to get the love of our lives?

Unconditional love is not for the faint of heart.

Unconditional love is unconditional. It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong about the person you love because it is about the love, not the person.

Unconditional love doesn’t hurt because it is unconditional, there are no expectations. You love for the sake of love. You love who you love independently of the result of that love. It doesn’t matter if the other person loves you back because it is not about the person or the outcome. It is about love itself.

It is complicated to accomplish that type of love in a physical world where touch can be an earth-shattering experience.

That is why unconditional love comes from the spirit. It is the way of the soul. So, when you love unconditionally, you step into a world beyond the flesh, a world full of essence, soul, and energy. That is why true love is so magnetic, so passionate, so electric, because it is the bridge that merges two worlds into one. It is a magical experience.

When you are unconditionally loving, it is because you are loving from the heart, from the spirit, from the divinity that is you. The divinity within the body.

It is difficult to find and be willing to experience that type of love, but the reward is high if you dare to try it.

Your love, when it is real, will never go to waste. If it cannot be fulfilled or experienced physically with the one you desire, the energy itself will find someone else willing to experience it with you. It will make sure to be physically felt, experienced and shared. It will draw to you those who are willing to experience it too. It will make sure you live in that love, from that love, surrounded by that love like a sphere. Once you love unconditionally, you will be in it all the time. It will become your natural way of being, your purest vibration.

Allowing yourself to be in it without expectations is the hard part. Leaving the ego behind, bypassing the warnings of the mind, trusting you will be safe in that love, that is the hard part.

Unconditional love is not of the mind. So, you need to be willing to be crazy to experience it. You need to be willing to let go of your mind and of your desires even, for it to express itself through you, in you fully.

Contrary to what most people think, you won’t have any less love if you try it. If anything, you will have more. That’s how unconditional love works; it becomes an infinite well of beingness, purity and compassion, an endless well of abundance.
