3 years

Sep 10, 2026

I wrote this after conversing with Suleiman one night. In these almost three years, my family and I have bonded with Suleiman and his family. He's our "Gazawi Son". Suleiman and his family need our help. Please buy a cup of coffee for him.

It's been almost 3 years.

Almost 3 long and tiresome years.

3 years that would forever change how I see world.

Forever change how I prepare meals.

Forever change my concept of family.

Forever change my opinion of humanity.

And forever change how I love and understand love.

These 3 years have tested my patience in ways that defy time. These 3 years have confirmed my theory on real friends- they don't leave at your most vulnerable time. These 3 years taught me that I can feel the pain and heartache of those who I've grown to love despite how far they might be from my arms.

I don't want another 3 years of this! I need to hug my loved ones. I don't want another 3 birthdays of my loves to keep passing while time stands sill for them.

I don't want to get my heartbroken any more.

I want to continue to hope and that this genocide will stop. I want to continue to dream for a better day because dreams are the manna to our weary souls.

I will continue to help, I will continue to inspire and even after these years, I still have hope in giving my all to help them and I need that hug from my loved ones. Because 3 years is far too long not to embrace the ones you love.

It's almost been 3 years and afterall the pain, I am still here, trusting in that God has written good for us.
