PART 1 PLANNING/DRAFTING
● BASE UPON THE QUESTION
Rephrase or change the structure of the given question as your answer. In simple words, paraphrase but DO NOT copy.
● State your opinion.
● Support your opinion. If you think that it is important, why? If you think that it is not, then why not?
● Even if you agree or disagree with the statement, you also have to be able to see both sides.
● CONCLUSION Summarize your main points from your essay.
PART 2: WRITING THE ESSAY
Based on the 5 points you have previously drafted, craft your essay. Remember, you only have 20 minutes to do so.
PART 3: EDITING AND/OR PROOFREADING
I hope you at least left some time to read and look over your essay. This is important as writing under pressure can sometimes lead to mistakes. Use this time to look over your essay, check for typos, punctuation errors and grammatical mistakes.
If you found better words to replace the one you use, PLEASE do change it. 🙂
