Hey 👋
I'm trying out an interesting business model: make everything completely free.
Will it work? Probably not. But I'm trying it anyway.
I make free (and ad-free) iOS apps and web apps, and run a podcast that does not play ads. None of these projects make me any money by default. Charging for them limits the audience, and showing/playing ads degrades the experience. I want to create premium experiences that anyone can use. I also put a huge emphasis on privacy and collect no user data.
If that resonates with you, and you have the means, I'd love to have you as a supporter.
My current projects:
* Outrank (for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS)
–– New!
–– If you're a fan of American college football, this app is for you. Available for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS (on M1 Macs), Outrank is the easiest way to check how your favorite teams stack up against the rest. It shows you where your team ranks in forty-seven different tracked statistics compared to the other 129 FBS teams. You can even compare two teams in a convenient side-by-side view.
–– Blog Post: Introducing Outrank
–– Product Page: Outrank on the App Store
* CatchUp – Keep in Touch (for iOS)
–– Keep in touch with your friends, family, business associates, and anyone else in your iOS Contacts list with CatchUp. Set reminders for the contacts you choose, and get notified when it's time to CatchUp with them again.
–– Product Page: CatchUp on the App Store
* The Golden Hurricast (podcast)
–– A weekly podcast covering athletics at The University of Tulsa.
–– Website: thegoldenhurricast.com
–– Podcast Link: Apple Podcasts, Spotify
Projects I don't work on as much anymore include:
* Dashing Through the 'Ville
–– A city-wide scavenger hunt held throughout Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Proceeds from the event benefitted Youth and Family Services of Washington County, and it helped them raise a total of $15,000.
* Eagle Crest STL
–– A fully serverless web app tailor-made for the Eagle Crest HOA in St. Louis, MO. It allows members and trustees to easily send messages, make requests, give announcements, view documents, and see a list of all homeowners in the HOA.

I just read your "Nuxt 3 vs SvelteKit" blog post, and it was phenomenal! I've been trying to decide between the two frameworks for my next project, but the vast majority of articles/blog posts I found online was heavily biased for (or against) one of the frameworks. Thank you for taking the time to rebuild your website in both frameworks, and documenting the pros and cons of each.

You have a power combo of strong discipline and self-starter spirit. Keep those irons in the fire!
