I'm a Freelance Writer and Author. I graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Climate Change in 2012, from one of the first universities in the world to offer this undergraduate course. I also have a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Teesside University.
I've been blogging about the climate emergency since 2016, and about the AI crisis since 2023. These two enormous challenges threaten societal upheavel and potential collapse.
My goal is to educate and engage more people about the climate and AI crises, in order to bring about the change we urgently need.
My blog is free to read, but I spend a significant amount of time researching and writing each piece. For example, my first blog on the AI crisis was over 12,000 words and took nearly three months of researching and writing to put together.
I've sacrificed a great deal to continue trying to tackle these issues and I've spent much more than I've earned, in doing so. I was well aware that being a writer was never going to be easy, but in this age of AI slop, remaining a human writer is even more challenging as our entire profession is being upended.
Any contributions are therefore very warmly welcomed.
Note: All my writing is done by me - I don't use AI. In fact, as my blog readers will know, I'm firmly against it.
