I love exploring in my home state of Virginia. But West Virginia is like my 2nd home. My mama was born and raised in Huntington. So as a kid I traveled to my grandparents house all the time. While I no longer have family that lives there, I still travel there frequently to hike, backpack, and explore in the outdoors. This photo is from Elakala Falls in Blackwater Falls State Park. This state park has so much to offer from the waterfalls, Lindy and Pendleton Point for incredible mountain views, boating in Pendleton Lake, camping or staying in the cabins or lodge, and even sleigh riding during the winter months.
