This is the news you've all been waiting for! Thanks to the incredible support of this community and our generous donors, the Steamworks fee has officially been paid! RustForge is now on the official path to being a fully-fledged Steam release.
I am currently waiting for the final tax information to be verified by Steam, which is the last step before the store page can go live.
The Steam Countdown is On
We're targeting a release date of the first of the new year. But this could be a few days longer, depending on Steam and how quickly they process things.
Things we need to wait on as per Steam's policies:
Application Verification: Steam requires a one-week testing and verification period to ensure the game is legitimate.
Store Page Goes-Live: After the verification week is complete, I will be able to finalize and publish the public Store Page.
Official Listing: The Steam store page will go fully live and be publicly searchable approximately two weeks after the store page is finalized.
Steam's process is very thorough, but we are officially in the queue!
