We've introduced powerful new color science options, granular control over background and transparent pixels, and a complete UI overhaul to make managing these advanced features effortless.
New Features for Unprecedented Control
This release is packed with precision tools that allow you to fine-tune your painting process like never before, guaranteeing a high-fidelity final product.
Full UI Overhaul & Tabbed Settings: The application has a visual refresh with a new color scheme. More importantly, the Settings window is now organized with tab pages, making it significantly easier to navigate the growing number of advanced options.
Color Space Selection (RGB or CIEDE2000): You can now choose between the standard Euclidean RGB for simple, fast color-distance calculation, or CIEDE2000 for the most perceptually accurate color matching to the Rust palette. Achieve true-to-source colors.
Customizable Color Tolerance: When "Background Color Ignore" is active, you can now set a custom color tolerance value. This lets you fine-tune how strictly RustForge ignores pixels that are close to—but not exactly—the background color.
Transparency Threshold Setting: Define a custom threshold for alpha transparency. Pixels that are more transparent than this value will be skipped entirely, giving you fine-grained control over how partially-transparent pixels are handled.
Quality of Life & Automation EnhancementsWe've added features to streamline your workflow and provide better feedback on your progress.
Discord Rich Presence: Show off your painting status! Rich Presence now displays on Discord, showing when you are Paused, Painting, or Completed a project, along with relevant painting info.
Screenshot on Finish Toggle: A new option to automatically capture a screenshot of your canvas once the painting session is complete, instantly saving your finished artwork.
