Ruslan Bortnik is the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics (think-tank).
He explores the issues of geopolitics and globalization, peacekeeping, the balance of modern models of governance, human rights and traditional value systems.
Ruslan advises politicians, businesses and mass media on issues of sustainable development and global competition. He has numerous publications and commentaries in mass media in Ukraine and around the world.
At the beginning of his career, Ruslan Bortnik worked in the human rights movement, mass media, and was a civil servant for 11 years - he worked as an adviser to several Ukrainian MPs
He has an MA in Philosophy and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
