“The Weight We Choose”

“The Weight We Choose”

Dec 24, 2025

A man once complained to a wise elder,

“Life is too heavy. I am tired.”

The elder handed him a small bag and said,

“Put a stone inside it for every pain you remember.”

The man returned the next day, exhausted.

The bag was heavy.

The elder smiled and said,

“Now, remove a stone for every moment of gratitude you ignored.”

Slowly, the bag became lighter.

The elder whispered,

“The weight was never life itself.

It was what you chose to carry and what you chose to forget.”

Some burdens disappear the moment we remember what still remains.

Sometimes peace isn’t about removing pain — it’s about remembering grace.
