The River and the Sea

The River and the Sea

A small river was flowing joyfully through valleys and villages. It gave water to the trees, the fields, and the people — and it was proud of its journey.

But one day, the river reached the vast ocean.

Seeing its endlessness, the river became afraid.

“If I enter this ocean,” it thought, “I will disappear forever. I will lose myself.”

The ocean heard the river’s fear and whispered,

“My dear one, to be lost in me is to become me. You won’t disappear — you’ll become infinite.”

The river hesitated, but then surrendered and flowed into the ocean.

And in that moment, it realized — it was the ocean all along.

💫 Moral of the story:

The ego fears losing itself in love, but the soul knows — only by surrendering do we become whole.
