The Man Who Complained to God

The Man Who Complained to God

Oct 23, 2025

Once, a man went to a Sufi master and said,

“Every day I pray, but God never answers me.

My life is full of hardship and sorrow. Why doesn’t He help me?”

The master smiled gently and took him to a garden filled with blooming flowers. There was a gardener watering them.

The master asked, “Do you see that gardener?”

The man nodded.

The master continued,

“He waters each flower not because the flower cries out, but because he loves them.

Sometimes he gives water, sometimes he prunes the branches, sometimes he waits for the roots to grow strong.

The flower doesn’t understand his ways, but it still grows under his care.”

The man stood silent.

Then the master said softly,

“God hears you in every breath.

Your hardships are His way of pruning — not to hurt you, but to help you bloom.”

🌸 Moral of the story:

God’s silence is not absence. Sometimes, His love appears as patience, and His care as challenge.
