Most of the painting meanings have never been published or told. Welcome to the first library of meanings, a pastiche of ideas and impulses that made Ruhu's oeuvre exist.

Doors as new supports
Canvas are overestimated. Why buy new supports if we can find them on the streets? What if a beautiful modernist old door with a history behind would be rescued so that it could rebirth beyond a functional use? Would their heavy look give more weight and presence for the watcher?
Wondering that I started to use rough old doors taken and rescued from Barcelona streets as the support for new oil paintings.

Latest work, The Fool 🃏 is an almost squared piece of a door already covered with acrylic paint on its past life. It has a twin and also two larger pieces which in total will conform four pieces **, nada que ver con la foto anterior.
0 - The Fool
The Fool is the first door of the collection, landed from an endless Summer dream in Menorca. Emiliano's sexy figure camouflages with a huge conglomerates beach walls in a pseudo-static position. His nudity reflects a sense of removal and lack of ties. Although not still clear, may the high tide, friendly seagulls or a bottle of champán appear besides the journey of The Fool on the final first coat process.
Some skulls ☠️ appeared post-field while painting or even watching the results with dark light. For mysterious minds: they're more than pareidolias. Some of them are even bigger and maybe from other world. Death as the end of existence, simplicity and the origin fuse softly with The Fool since 0 is the beginning after the end.
Rocks are new inspiration in Ruhu's oeuvre despite their knowledge in Geology. The rock formation captured is a majestic Miocene conglomerate big wall eroded by Mediterranean Sea in Cala Morell, Menorca. Emiliano seems to take on his shoulder a huge yellow and reddish sandstone clast, maybe formed during the Buntsandstein Trias. It receives and reflects the Sun light offering warm, protection and optimism from the origin.

** Thanks to Emiliano, eh lokooo, for helping me in finding the doors and for being my inspiration.
