Hey everyone,
I’ve been a little quiet lately, mostly because I’ve been swamped preparing for my national exam. It’s been draining, but in between the studying and burnout, I’ve got something exciting to share. The full outline for the Restless prologue is finally complete.
This prologue is a key piece of the story. It lays the foundation for everything that follows. From realistic, grounded hacking sequences to creeping paranoia, it sets the tone and atmosphere early. We follow Drea as she uncovers digital traces of the Atrium Project, a private organization that plays a much bigger role in the story than anyone initially realizes. This isn’t just background lore anymore. The prologue is designed to solidify Atrium’s presence and show exactly how Drea gets tangled up in something much larger than she expected.
Later in the prologue, the perspective shifts to Aiden James Carter. His side of the story is quieter but heavier. It's full of guilt, regret, and a growing fear that something is deeply wrong with the world around him. His scenes add emotional weight and give readers a glimpse into how far things have already unraveled.
The outline flows through three major scenes and closes in a way that ties both story threads together. It finally feels like it’s capturing the vision I’ve had in mind for a long time. It’s intense, grounded, and slowly pulls the reader into something that feels just a little too real.
