I’m passionate about story. How it forms us. How it frees us.

This was the subject of my PhD and my novels are infused with it, as are my workshops and talks. All this time I’ve been looking for new ways to tell stories, ways that counteract some of the chaos in this world and instead reignite harmony and hope in their audiences.

After years of teaching casually in universities, I’m finally taking my own path, sharing all that I’ve learned along the way about story; through my writing, my research and my life. I’m reaching out with Alchemy of Story, offering articles, exercises, reviews, workshops, writings, Q&A’s and soon a writing circle. Alchemy of Story is intended to create conversation, inspire, and provide practical tools. In it, big ideas and deep insights are grounded in practical tips that will help us tell stories that begin to reimagine ourselves and our world.

Everything I post in Alchemy of Story is free and I want to keep it that way but any support is helpful right now as I navigate this new stage of my life, share my knowledge and experience and find a means to support myself along the way.
