Dear friend,

Hello 🧿

The last couple of posts is akin to me writing a many-layered Love-letter* to September, to Virgo sees!!!! The Virgo seas.

*They’re also really rambly sessions with me, myself and I. 😇

Virgo’s magick has been groundbreaking (and grounding), unusual, this time around. “Ether grounded in real” feels. It’s seeing me off into a new Threshold, as I make my journey - intentional and slow. I feel steady as a paper boat, light and ready, floating down the stream. What unfolds, what flows, only Time knows.

Self-care has been the cornerstone of this Pilgrimage. It doesn’t end here. I’ve only begun. There was much to set down, to come into this self - fully free and no longer bound.

Self-discovery is a life-long journey and can be a very enriching one at that. A compassionate lens is key.

These are exercises I’d like to suggest, simply as Roanna (and not any expert), that can help. They are my most trusted means when it comes to getting to know yourself and in the process, learning how to care for yourself too.

JOURNALLING

There is a repository of self-discovery-related journalling prompts out there (read: the interwebz) that you can use to your advantage. If you are foreign to journalling, this is a great way to start. Some resources: Elza Buder, Michelle Chalfant, The Bliss Bean, Worthwhile Paper.

P.S. I’ve written essays on my journalling journey on Rose and the Moon, too.

OBTAINING YOUR BIRTH CHART

I’m an astrology junkie, and I love it. Not only it is something I deeply revere and derive entertainment & excitement from - it’s integral to my self-care practice. It is a potent place to start. It can be tricky to work with because Human resources can be unreliable and you would be right to be wary. Trusting a Reader would require discernment on your part.

Getting your chart is not difficult; some websites offer it for free (Astro Seek, Chani Nicholas), provided you have the correct details to input (date of birth, place of birth, and timing too). Interpreting it takes a skillful application of curiosity, knowledge and nuance.

When I talk about Birth Charts being K E Y to your Story, I mean it from the point of view of your natal placements, what they represent and what that might mean for you - you learn facets about yourself and how to work alike with your strengths and shadows.

These two keys have been akin to therapy for me, and what’s most important is that they work for me. Therapy requires that. That alignment, that ‘connect’ - soul to soul.

Self-care September loves you so!!!! Take advantage.

With Love -

Roanna
