Bad Blood by Taylor Swift caught my eye (or should I say ear?) earlier today, and I’ve been listening to it a few times over.
Lately, I’ve been finding dewdrops of wisdom scattered in the art, entertainment and literature I consume, whether this be through...
• Books, films, music, shows: Certain phrases; dialogues; journeys that a character (main or otherwise) is going through that strike a chord with my life musings and patterns; lyrics; words.
• Literal art: Colours, imagery, motifs, and symbols. Oracle cards. Signage. Tarot cards. (Special mention: Pick-a-Card readings.)
• Repeating numbers and noticeable occurrences
• Twitter peeps & YouTube creators (Their content!!!!)
When I say scattered, I mean, these cues (clues?) weren’t left for me to pick up on, to find but that it feels personal every time I bump into something that strikes a chord deep within... Sheer magick!!!!
I take note of them, I like to revisit these gems when I read my journals. Reading them again often makes me go... ‘Ahhh. This hit.’ Or ‘Oh, yeah, this was going on, then.’ :-)
A few quotes I’ve collected from things I recently watched.
• “We are all on the precipice of greatness. And we should cherish these moments before everything changes.” - Moira Rose, Schitt’s Creek (Season 5) [Truly feeling and sinking into this energy. ‘Doors open, doors close’ vibes. Tuning into ‘This is how I survive.’]
• “Absolutely nothing is an exercise in restraint.” - Dr. Jamie Ryan, Never Have I Ever (Season 3) [A great message 1) in general, 2) for me, and 3) for the times. In the name of restraint, I was guided by my qualms, insecurities and fears in the near past. In returning to my Home frequency, in finding me, I feel able to heed my North Star, to actively make decisions centered in personal integrity and truth. I didn’t have this before.]
• “Honestly, they are not even in the same league as you, Masaba. And you can’t be feeling insecure every time some new kid does well. Focus on your work. You know, take it to the next level. Just don’t go backwards.” - Dhairya, Masaba Masaba (Season 2) [The dialogues in this season were well-crafted and spot-on. I’d like to talk about it sometime in a separate post. I love this quote because it hit home. I’ve struggled with ‘comparison mindset’, issues of feeling unworthy, hiding my gifts, and shining my unique light. I focused on the outside, on how I was being received and seen than how I wished to operate, and how I ‘saw’ myself. I knew so little about my intricacies. Going inward, or rather, being steadily nudged in that direction than choosing to go Hermit mode (on my own) has been a Blessing in my life.]

Oftentimes, what we encounter at certain points in our lives, especially occurrences seemingly unwitting... You start seeing none of this as random but supremely divine. The mystery and miracle - in how they came into your life to help ya ‘put the pieces together’
