Stories. For some a hobby, for me a way of life. As a climate scientist and storytelling coach, I believe that the sharing of stories can and will make the world a better place. Coffees are a big part of that, and I'm in the process of having 1000 coffees with a thousand strangers. No ulterior motive or agenda, just conversation. Conversations which always will remain secret. However there are some stories (not from the 1000 Coffee project) that do need to come out in public, so I searched for a platform through which to share amazing stories with the world.
To that end I started 'The World is Storytelling' podcast. Based on my co-authored book by the same name, we aim to prove how sharing of stories can be magical. Every episode is 10 minutes long, and is short, sweet, and a fantastic way of introducing topics that may rankle, in a welcoming form. The first season was a mix of amazing stories from people mostly based in the UK, while the second season was recorded whilst hiking the Camino De Santiago in Spain. The third season from around Europe, and now the fourth season from every county top on the island of Ireland.
As this is a passion project, I make no money on this. In fact it's quite costly to journey to meet people and listen to their stories. Additionally, climbing mountains in the rain has made me very aware of the need for some better gear.
With your help, I can continue this further. If you are enjoying the podcast, perhaps drop a donation in the gear kitty and support making the world a better place through stories :)
Thank you!
