Support Romaine

My first introduction into photography came within the halls of Appomattox Regional Governor's School in Petersburg, VA. I attended an Arts & Technology High School and I stumbled into their photography class. During classes we were allowed immense freedom to walk the halls and outdoors to capture images all over campus. We then were taught film developing and printing in the darkroom that was built right on campus. 

Those early experiences allowed me to add another creative badge to my belt along with Music Production, Graphic Design, and Videography all beginning at ARGS. Fast forward to 2017 I purchased my first DSLR and I have been shooting ever since.

My early goal with photography was to highlight community happenings through my company Black Crwn Media (Black Crwn LLC). I would pop out at events and captured the moments and memories happing in my "back yard" and present them to anybody wondering "what's going on in Central Virginia". I took pride in volunteering my time to show people what we had going on in the city. Things changed and I now have gravitated toward Sports Photography, and of course, Fine Art Photography. I am currently pushing myself again to tap into my creativity with a goal of presenting to the world "The small things in life" that go unnoticed on a daily basis. For me, it's very therapeutic to stop, and really take in everything around you, even if it's just for a sec, and compose that in the most creative and artistic way possible for the world.
