I’m reaching out to you with a humble heart, hoping you might take a moment to hear my story. Recently, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community and completely destroyed my home. Everything my family and I worked so hard for was lost in a single night. I am the breadwinner for my family, which includes my mother, my three sisters—ages 18, 3, and just 8 weeks old—and my 16-year-old brother. We are now trying to recover from this tragedy and rebuild our lives from nothing. I worked as a bartender, but the storm not only took our house—it also took my job. I’m also a gamer by hobby, since I’m not monetized on any of my platforms yet due to certain circumstances. I was finally on track to reach monetization, but Melissa destroyed my entire gaming setup—the same setup I had just recently finished buying. Now I have to start all over again, and I’m left with only four outfits to my name. With no income, no equipment, and so many loved ones depending on me, the situation has become extremely difficult and overwhelming. and that is why I felt encouraged to reach out. I’m kindly asking if you might be able to assist us in any way or help share our story so we can begin to rebuild. Any form of support—big or small—would mean more than words can express, especially for my younger siblings who are still trying to understand why life has suddenly become so hard.
