A voluntary monitoring and surveillance group for movement behaviors.
The Ghana Physical Activity Advocacy Group (GPAAG) is a voluntary research group that focuses on physical activity, physical education, sports and entrepreneurship mindsets, health and wellness, adapted physical education, and early years SUNRISE International Surveillance of movement behaviors. This is a not-for-profit volunteer group participating in various international surveillance initiatives by the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance (AHKGA), Entrepreneurial Mindsets through Sports, Global Observatory for Physical Activity (GoPA!), the Global Observatory for Physical Education (GoPE!), and the SUNRISE International Surveillance Study of 24-hour movement behaviors in the early years.
MISSION
The overall mission of the initiative is the commitment to power the national and global movement to get all persons moving through research, education, leadership, knowledge translation and mobilization, capacity building, and advocacy.
VISION
Promote a nation of active healthy persons.
