Cardvark! You can finally get through that stack of business cards

Jan 29, 2026

I built Cardvark because I kept putting off adding business cards to my contacts list. Conferences, networking events, random coffee meetings? I'd shove the card in my pocket and put it in the pile. And when I remembered to reach out, who knew where the pile went? The contact was gone before the relationship ever started.

imageYes, digital contact sharing exists. Popl, HiHello, Linq—there's no shortage of NFC badges and QR code apps. But here's the thing: there's no standard. Everyone uses a different platform, and plenty of people don't use any of them. Meanwhile, business cards still work everywhere, with everyone, no app required.

I still carry business cards. So do a lot of people I meet. The problem was never the card—it was what happened after.

Cardvark fixes this in about 10 seconds. Snap a photo of any business card, and it extracts the contact info (using Claude AI), then generates a vCard you can save directly to your phone.

Got a stack from a tradeshow or a backlog from years of unfinished business? Cardvark!

No app store download required—it's a PWA (progressive web application) that lives on your home screen.

How it works:

  • Open Cardvark and point your camera at a business card

  • Tap capture, then "Process Card"

  • Review the extracted info and tap "Save Contact" or "Add Another"

  • Save the file(s) or upload to your CRM.

It's free to use. I'm covering the AI costs for now and asking for coffee donations if you find it useful.

Try it: cardvark.rise-above.net

Works best on mobile. Add it to your home screen for the full app experience!
