I have successfully ported the QWERTY firmware to the LilyGo T4 touch device now!
The 2.4" AMOLED is really beautiful. So clear and crisp. This will require more, in terms of builds, as you have to wire up an external sx1262 LoRa module and a GPS receiver. Is fairly straightforward if you have reasonable soldering skills.
A custom 3D printable case will be coming. It will look so cool. Definitely the deluxe device in the Ripple suite :-)
Am still tidying up the code, and have to get a few extras supported like buzzer and vibe motor for notifications. Not much in the way of power saving optimisations yet. There should be a lot of ways of saving power with this build (especially vs the T-Deck).
