About Ride Thru Japan
Project 47 is a self-funded solo motorcycle journey across all 47 prefectures of Japan.
After my wife’s cancer battle, we made the decision to stop waiting for “someday” and start living more intentionally. For me, that meant rediscovering the country I’ve called home for over 26 years — one prefecture at a time, on a motorcycle, with a camera.
I’m not a professional rider or a sponsored traveler. I’m funding this journey myself while documenting the people, roads, and places that make Japan extraordinary beyond the cities and guidebooks.
