I'm Rhys Hughes. I write more than a sensible person should. Short stories, novels, poems, plays, essays, things that don't have names yet. I've published many books, but I've never been the kind of writer who makes a living from it. That's fine, I guess. I chose imagination over invoices, strangeness over sales. Or maybe imagination and strangeness chose me.
With your help I will soon be setting up a small press called MISSION CREEP PRESS. Initially it will be devoted to publishing the complete PANDORA'S BLUFF, in other words my 33-year-long cycle of 1000 linked stories, in many volumes (nine or ten volumes in total). Afterwards I hope to publish other work too.
The stories are written. The covers are planned. I have a logo and I have plenty of enthusiasm. The only thing standing in the way is the purchase of ISBNs. So here I am, asking readers who like odd, ambitious, slightly unhinged fiction to help me obtain them. I require £387 to purchase 100 ISBN numbers.
Those who contribute will get something in return: a mention in the books themselves, a dozen free ebooks of my other titles, and if you want to be the main character in a forthcoming story, poem or play, I will gladly do that too.
