About Regulated
This app started after a panic attack. In trying to understand what happened, the pattern that emerged was a familiar one for a lot of people who live with BPD: a tendency to outsource emotional regulation rather than build the internal tools to do it alone, intellectualizing therapy without it translating into real change, and a nervous system that could spiral fast and hard once something tipped it over.
Out of that came a simple idea: a place to log moments as they happen, not after the fact, so that patterns could eventually become visible before the crisis point rather than only in hindsight. After trying a number of existing apps that were either bloated with features, locked behind paywalls, or cluttered with ads exactly when calm and clarity matter most, the decision was to build something simpler instead.
This app is the result: free, ad-free, and built by someone who needed it first, in the hope that it helps others navigating the same thing.
How to Use Regulated
This app was built with BPD and DBT in mind, but it works just as well for anyone who wants a simple tool to help understand and regulate their emotions.
Log a moment any time something happens, whether it's hard, neutral, or good. The goal is to build a picture of your day, not just the bad parts.
Use the tags to note anything that made you more vulnerable (like poor sleep) or what actually happened, and tag positive moments too.
If things feel like too much right now, use the SOS button instead of the regular log button. It will offer a few simple tools based on how you're feeling.
Visit the Toolkit tab any time, even when you're not in crisis, to read through tools and star the ones that work for you. Starring tools helps SOS offer you better suggestions.
Check the Patterns tab once you've logged a few entries to see trends in your mood, tags, and which tools tend to help.
