Regenerating Sonora’s mission is to help all life flourish in the Sonora bioregion.
We’re currently focused on our home base, the rural mining town of Superior, AZ.
We’re feeding local kids, starting a microfarm, managing a major festival, gathering local stories, tackling addiction, and opening a community center.
And that’s just for starters!
Please take a look at our projects below and then choose a level of Membership that feels right to you.
Your participation can make a HUGE difference to the people of Superior — and to the future of the Sonora bioregion.
Gracias!

FEEDING THE KIDS
Food security is a real issue in rural Arizona. Regenerating Sonora has provided over 10,000 free meals to children in Superior and continues a regular program to this day.
ERICKSON MICROFARM
For sustainable food security, our new microfarm will be using “regenerative farming practices” to provide food, togetherness and practical education for the people of Superior.
PRICKLY PEAR FESTIVAL
The Superior Prickly Pear Festival, celebrating local food and culture, draws visitors from throughout the United States. Starting in 2021, Regenerating Sonora has been tasked with managing this historic event.
MAKING SENSE WITH STORIES
Gathering and sharing stories honors the past, revitalizes connections, and helps guide the future. Regenerating Sonora has launched a local story gathering program using a powerful tool called SenseMaker.
