Earlier this year, I released my first single, You Were Not Meant For Me—a song about accepting that not everything we love is meant to stay. Along the way, I finally began to feel free.
Then came Half of Us, a single with two companion versions of the same story—Foreglow and Afterglow, and a concept album that opened an entirely new sonic universe.
Through the summer, it became a story of heartbreak, madness, soul-searching, and a whole lot of music. It was a diabolical summer. But stories don’t always end where we think they should. Sometimes, they become something else.
This fall, through winter and before spring arrives, I continue that journey with the two halves of Half of Us—the heart that broke, the heart that survived, and between them, a soul that is healing.
The soul is the light yet to arrive—the anticipation, possibility, and courage to believe in a brighter dawn. It is the light that lingers, the love, warmth, and memories that remain even when moments have passed.
For so long, I thought I was searching for a place, a person, a sign, and gratification that never lasts, leaving me empty and lost. Perhaps I was searching for myself all along. I carried burdens and desires I could not explain. Fear made me smaller, convincing me to hide pieces of myself just to belong.
Freedom is not always something given. It is something we must find the courage to claim—the freedom to love, to be ourselves, and to simply live. Be the light that leads the way. Be the path that brings us closer to Him through love, hope, and redemption.
This is my revival. So I choose freedom, and I choose love. And ultimately, every single time, I choose Him. And if there is one thing I hope these songs and albums leave behind, it is this:
You are not alone. HE is with you.
What is meant for you will find you. So let yourself heal, love, be loved, dance, get wild, and fall in love all over again. Because this is a story about everything we lost and everything we found.
