Redcoats and Revolutionaries is about creating great historical experiences for public education and entertainment – to help encourage a passion for history, and for learning lessons from the past.

To do this, our volunteers spend their time learning about the people of the late 18th Century, collect or make their own reproduction clothing and equipment, and perform at events around the UK – for free! 

Of course, there's many costs that our volunteer members meet which you might be able to help with to keep us going – our group must be insured, we need consumables such as first aid supplies and training, black powder and fuel for campfires, we need regular safety training that requires hiring a venue, we want to invite speakers to help us with our historical impressions, and we have marketing costs (website and social media ads) that highlights us to public institutions where we perform. We [the group] sometimes charge a small amount to event organisers to cover the ongoing costs of operating, but with your support we can continue to offer extremely inexpensive exhibitions to more and more heritage venues (who themselves are struggling in today's economic climate).
