As you're probably already aware, running a kingdom isn't cheap!
Back in my day, dragon boarding cost only a few coppers, but now runs into the GPs.
There are HVAC (Holy Vengeance Armor Class) leaks, Moat repairs - and don't even get me started on Barbarian horde dead-body cleanup crew vacancies. Can't seem to find anyone to hire. Even when scheduled for a battlefield skills assessment interview, 19 times out of 10, the candidates never even show up!
Another noble, yet real expense comes from purchasing the ancient scrolls & magical knickknacks and whatchamacallits that are so often featured in Rediscovered Realms.
Though possible to pen amazing newsletters without them, there just wouldn' be the depth nor the breadth nor the width - nor the magnificent illustrations by our court photographer, Androidicus Motorolanus.
As chief scribe, I therefore am humbly beseeching a loosening of your purse strings to help The Realms equip itself for the coming battle (aka 2024).
If we could just get a hold of enough Sword +1's, they would not only strike fear into our imaginary enemies, they would instill confidence in our remaining militia, maintain order throughout the lands, and also allow us to "encourage" our artists and other scribes to keep doing their damn duty.
I cannot blame them, though. 'Tis often a lonely life and thankless job creating works of art that enthrall and entertain the masses, week after week, month after month . . .
"'Tis a privilege!" I tell them often.
Their wan smiles let me know they agree.
Forsooth, if I have my way, we will even EXPAND our kingdom in the coming fortnights with:
- MORE famous fantasy artist, author & creator interviews
- NEW sections within the newsletter for interactive Fantasy Fiction, Fantasy Founders, and Fantasy Filosophy
- Video channels with even more GLORIOUS Fantasy Fun
So, as you can now see, any support you offer would NOT go to a good cause - it would go to the BEST of causes - to inspiring Adventure, Heroism, Imagination & Discovery.
