I just wanted to write a quick blog post because I know not everybody who is subscribed to me on here follows me on my other social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, and so on.
It’s been a while and I hope everybody is doing well. I’ve been BUSY. I’ve been working hard on the last few rounds of edits on my Lasair-Fhíona project. If you’re a new subscriber of mine, thank you so much for subscribing!
Lasair-Fhíona (pronounced ‘loss-air-feena’ which translates to ‘wine flame’ in the Irish language) is the first book in an Irish young adult superhero noir crime thriller series I’ve been writing on and off since I was 12 years old. I’m 32 now and I’m finally publishing the first book! I started rewriting the story back in 2023 and now it’s finally ready to be launched!
This is not the official book cover but I will be sharing that with you all very soon. The release date is 12th March 2027!

If you back it through Kickstarter, you will receive the book early along with some bonus merch if you choose to back the highest reward tier. The campaign will be running up until 14th November and the funds will be processed in December and then I will mail you the book in January/February before it’s officially released in March. There are three tiers you can support. You can get the standard e-book version, the standard paperback version, and a signed paperback version including merch (a bookmark, stickers, and character art illustrated personally by me!)

I’m pretty sure this is the longest time I’ve ever spent writing a book. I even rewrote a huge section of it this year. Even though the process of writing this book was long and difficult, I love this story so much and I think taking my time with it instead of rushing it out has made a big difference. I really enjoyed writing it and I hope you all enjoy reading it too.
