I need to tell you something.
I am going to Nashville March 28th to see CeCe Winans perform on March 30 with a dear friend — a woman who has walked with me through some of the hardest seasons of my life.
This is not a work trip. It is not a hustle trip. It is the first time in nearly a decade that I am choosing rest. Choosing to receive instead of just give.
In 2019 I moved back to California after a year-long coaching training program and poured everything I had into building a life. By 2022 — one year after I got sober — I was thriving. Then came a concussion. Then a traumatic violation. Two years of rebuilding from the ground up — financially, emotionally, spiritually.
I have spent those years coaching women, leading Bible study, showing up for my community. Pouring out. Always pouring out.
And God has been quietly, persistently asking me one question: When do you let someone pour into you?
The answer is now.
This trip to Nashville — two women, one concert, permission to exhale — is my answer.
And it is not lost on me that CeCe Winans is singing "Blessed Assurance." The same song that was the theme of the women's conference I just served on the prayer team for two weeks ago.
God has a very specific playlist.
I need $954 to book the hotel room. That's it. That's the whole ask.
I am not too proud to ask anymore. That's new for me. And if you've been watching this season of my life unfold — if something I've written or said has ever cracked something open in you — this is your chance to be part of what it looks like when a woman finally stops striving and starts receiving.
Every dollar goes directly to the hotel. Nothing else.
With so much gratitude, Annie
