I'm old and don't understand a lot of the internet but I used to blog and thought I'd talk about my wife and I traveling. So, without having a steady job or secured form of income, I thought I'd give this a try.
It begins with us selling our house and almost everything we owned to a kid my son grew up with. Being honest, it's a nice feeling that a young man that I coached in ball and cooked for numerous times wanted to buy our place to be close to his folks. Anyway, he agreed to keep our toy hauler and diesel in his yard as we left for what turned out to be a 36 day, 6198 mile adventure. My wife chose the destination of Winslow, AZ. We would, of course see family along the way, both as a support structure and just because we both have family scattered around the country and we finally had the freedom to go see them all in one trip.
What started as a trip to enjoy and taut our freedom quickly became a trip about the people we met along the way and what a great country we live in. From the start of our journey leaving our old driveway to a seriously cool Bunk-A-Biker in Beaumont, TX to Jodie in Holbrook, NM to Alfred the Austrian Biker in AZ, the people we met and their stories quickly filled our hearts and we will never forget them.
I'll share a few pictures here from the trip but please know it is just a smattering of what we did and what's to come. We appreciate your support and you'll hear from me often!
