Heres a few photos showing some of my process making an art piece titled “1st draft”.
“1st Draft” features messy handwritten lyrics on scrap paper littered with misspelled words, crossed out lines and barely legible notes and doodles - ideas and lyrics most of which later evolved into songs. The piece is anchored by a reflection from my journal in the center exploring the tension of creativity, comparison and the inner critic. Why create? Because sometimes from the mess of making emerges the meaning, a message and hopefully a mirror reflecting the man and more importantly the messiah. Fun fact: I love writing lyrics on envelopes
