Each chapter covers one ten wilderness terrain types: caverns, desert, forest, grasslands, hills, littoral, mountains, ocean, tundra and wetlands. Pick a terrain type, roll on the tables therein, and you'll find an encounter to spring on your party, including guidance on how that creature reacts, how many of it are present and what treasure it yields when defeated. Most of the monsters in the Monster Manual that fall under the Open Game License are included. Useful to new and experienced dungeon masters alike, Book of Chance Meetings provides food for thought and fresh ideas on how to make a party of adventurers food for monsters. 259 pages, 8.5" x 11" format.
