TIPS & GUIDE
Going to Dumaguete and Siquijor
Flights to Dumaguete are available from Manila or Cebu. You can find the cheapest flights atΒ https://www.cebupacificair.com/. The lowest fares are aroundΒ $40,Β particularly during seat sales.
Where to Book boat tickets
To visit Siquijor conveniently, take a fast craft boat from Dumaguete Port. You can check the schedule and book tickets atΒ https://www.oceanjet.net/.
Dumaguete Port - You can take a tricycle to reach Dumaguete Port. Upon reaching, you still need to fall in line for a seat number. The earlier you are, the better you can choose your seat.
Siquijor Port - The Port of Siquijor is at the heart of the island. Most known or famous hostels are 30 minutes away from the port.
The trip takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. It is important to book your boat tickets 2-3 days in advance of your intended travel date. To avoid cancellations, consider booking the earliest available schedule.
You can still purchase tickets at the port on the day of your trip. However, be aware that they may sell out, particularly on Fridays and weekends.
Solo Motorcycle Tours
When you visit Siquijor on a Solo Trip, you can hire a Motorcycle Tour. Ensure to have a jacket or sunscreen, as Siquijor can be humid, especially in Summer. Also, on the Valencia-Dumaguetr trip, there are motorcycle tours available for solo travelers.
Manjuyod Sandbar
It is best to book this tour before your journey to avoid fully booked trips.
Cambugahay Falls
There are approximately 140 steps leading down to the falls. Be sure to bring water, as climbing back up can be exhausting. There is no entrance fee, but if youβd like to request a drone shot through your phoneβa popular activity there, you may offer a donation.
